Window-light portrait
The older interpretation pairs silver hair with visible facial lines. For a similar direction, describe natural skin texture and soft window light rather than asking only for white hair.
Use the AI aging filter on 1008.ai to explore an older or younger portrait with a reference photo and a written prompt. Continue to the image workspace to generate; there is no one-click age preset. All images on this page are AI-created visual illustrations, not documented results from this tool or predictions of real aging.

These AI visual examples show different aging directions. Use them to describe a look, not to judge this tool’s accuracy or expect an identical result.

The older interpretation pairs silver hair with visible facial lines. For a similar direction, describe natural skin texture and soft window light rather than asking only for white hair.

The navy-coat portrait combines an older face with a younger inset. When editing your own photo, ask to keep the expression and clothing, then check whether either changed.

The courtyard example places an imagined older face in a wider setting. For a face-focused edit, ask to keep the framing and background instead of describing a new scene.
Choose a clear reference, describe the age direction, then change one detail at a time. These are suggested prompts, not prompts recorded for the illustrations above.
Use a well-lit portrait of one person, with the face large enough to see and without heavy blur, sunglasses or a strong beauty filter. Image mode accepts one JPEG, PNG or WebP smaller than 50 MiB. Use your own photo or get permission from the person shown.
Suggested prompt: ‘Edit the person in the reference photo to look around 65 years old. Add natural forehead and eye lines, mature skin texture and subtle facial volume changes, with some gray hair. Keep the expression, eye color, clothing, framing and lighting.’ An age is a creative direction, not a calibrated setting; requested details may still change.
Suggested prompt: ‘Reimagine the adult in the reference photo around age 30. Soften age-related facial lines while keeping natural skin texture. Keep the expression, hairstyle, clothing and background.’ If the face looks too smooth, ask for visible pores and less retouching on the next attempt. Each new generation uses credits.

Age progression here is a creative image edit for portraits and character concepts, not a forecast of how a person will age.
The image model interprets your words and reference. It can change identity, facial proportions, expression or background as well as age-related details. Review the whole face before sharing. Do not use the result as medical evidence, identity verification or a factual record of someone’s past or future appearance.
Before upload, the browser resizes your reference proportionally and compresses it to WebP below 20,000 bytes. The initial long edge is at most 900 pixels and may shrink further. This is not lossless: tiny details can be lost, so start with a clear portrait rather than a distant face in a crowded photo. You do not need to prepare a 20 KB file yourself.
Get permission to use someone’s portrait and label the result as AI-altered when sharing it. The example images and suggested prompts on this page illustrate creative directions; they are not a controlled comparison, a prediction or evidence that the current generator will preserve every feature.
Start above with a prompt, or open the workspace directly. The button on this page carries your draft to the workspace; it does not generate an image yet.
Write the older or younger adult look you want. This page does not insert an aging prompt or use the example portraits as references. On mobile, add your own photo after continuing to the workspace; only the prompt carries over.
In the workspace, stay in Image mode, add one reference photo and review your prompt, resolution, ratio and credit cost. Mobile starts with default image settings. Sign in if needed and submit there to generate. A prompt is required, up to 1,000 characters.
Compare the completed portrait with your reference: check the eyes, face shape, skin texture and background. Each image task returns one image, available to download as PNG. If you try a revised prompt, budget for another generation rather than assuming free retries.
No. An AI age progression image is an imagined interpretation, not a forecast or age measurement. A prompt such as “around 65” guides the appearance but cannot specify an exact biological age. The ten images on this page are AI visual illustrations, not verified results from this generator, real customer before-and-afters or evidence of prediction accuracy.
You need to sign in and have available credits to generate. New accounts currently receive 50 registration credits, valid for 30 days. Image generation costs 3 credits at 1K, 4 at 2K and 5 at up to 4K; each new attempt is a separate generation. This is not unlimited free use. Check the displayed cost before submitting and see plans and pricing and the credit terms for the current conditions.
Add your portrait as the reference in Image mode and write the age direction in the prompt. Ask for natural facial lines, mature skin texture and subtle facial volume changes for an older look, or softer age-related lines with natural texture for a younger adult look. State what should stay unchanged, then check the result: identity and other details are not guaranteed. If you want broader photo edits, use the AI image-to-image guide.
Image mode accepts one JPEG, PNG or WebP smaller than 50 MiB. It is automatically resized and compressed before upload, so a clear, close portrait is more useful than a tiny face in a large scene. Choose 1K, 2K or up to 4K and a supported aspect ratio in the workspace. Actual pixel dimensions depend on both settings: “up to 4K” does not mean every output is 4096 pixels wide. Each completed image can be downloaded as PNG.
Under the 1008.ai Privacy Policy, uploads and creations are private by default and are not used to train AI models. Private does not mean processed only on your device: prompts and reference material may be sent to external services to fulfil the request. Read the processing disclosures before uploading someone’s portrait. For privacy or deletion requests, contact support@1008.ai; there is no promise of immediate automatic deletion.
1008.ai permits commercial use of generated outputs made with free or paid credits, subject to the commercial-use terms. You still need permission for the source photo and the person’s likeness. This does not guarantee copyright protection or exclusivity. Label altered portraits appropriately and do not use them for deception, impersonation or harassment. Describe an older or younger adult interpretation, then add your portrait and confirm the settings in the workspace. Review the result as an AI edit, not a prediction.
